The Liverpool Diocesan Board of
Education is involved with 118 schools in the diocese. Of these, 82
are Voluntary Aided and 36 Voluntary Controlled. 6 of these are secondary
schools. The Diocese is also involved with St Francis of Assisi Academy, a
joint project with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool.
The Diocese has schools in 8 Local Education

Liverpool, Sefton, Lancashire, Warrington, Knowlsey, St Helens, Halton,
Wigan

issues, governors, school organisation matters and liaison with Local
Authorities on these matters.

Senior Diocesan Schools Adviser with responsibility for the
Diocesan R.E. Syllabus, supporting schools in their delivery of R.E.,
Worship and Spiritual Development, SIAS Inspector and teacher training for
RE Schools
